Iced Coffee

Iced Coffee is one of my weaknesses. I so love a good cup, nice strong coffee flavor, a little bit of sweetness, oh yeah, it's a good thing. I adjusted an instant coffee recipe with fantastic results. Enjoy!
Iced Coffee
2 cups STRONG brewed coffee (I make mine by filling the pot to the 2 cup line, and adding 5 tbsp. of ground coffee to the basket. Hot coffee will dissolve next 2 ingredients best.)
2 Tbsp. and 2 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. and 2 tsp. chocolate syrup
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Dissolve sugar and syrup in hot coffee. Mix in milk and vanilla. Serve immediately over ice, or pop into the fridge or freezer 'till chilled.
Makes about a quart. Yummy!

I am making this TODAY! Last week, I had my first taste of iced coffee-- and I've had a cup every day since! Can't wait to try your recipe. Also, I have a question about the cheese spread-- what is sweet basil, and can you use just regular dried or frozen basil instead?

I forgot you told me to check this out! I'm still hooked on my blueberry cobbler iced coffee, but I will have to try this soon.

New Mom- let me know how it is!
I just use whatever basil I have on hand. The original recipe says sweet basil, I say whatever.

You know it is also delicious hot on a cold day.

Yesterday I made an "improvement". Instead of part of the milk, I used a can of coconut milk that has been gathering dust ever since I bought it x number of years ago. Well, warm, it was fine. Today after refrigerating overnight, the whatever-fat was in coconut milk congealed on top of the liquid and would not mix in. Omama

I love you, I love you, I love you! I finally got around to making this today, and where has it been all my life?? Better buy stock in Hershey's, because I will always have chocolate syrup in my fridge now. ;)

I print this out every year and manage to lose it every year! The 2011 printing is today. ;)
